Frequently asked questions

Basis of the Mind is our foundational 30-day program designed to help you understand how your mind works on a deeper level.

With our daily sessions (10-30 minutes), you’ll explore through interactive guidance the mechanisms of your mind to develop compassionate self-awareness that’ll help you navigate life with more ease and authenticity.

This program covers topics like:

-How your belief system is formed
-How your identity is shaped
-The conscious and unconscious mind
-Shadow work
-The ego
-Perception and judgement
-The connection between mind and body
-The symbolic mind
-Emotional intelligence

Instead of offering quick fixes or surface-level advice, Basis of the Mind guides you to understand the deeper patterns behind your thoughts and behaviors, helping you approach life with greater clarity, self-awareness, and compassion.

Basis of the Mind is for anyone who wants to understand themselves on a deeper level, whether you’re feeling stuck, curious about how your mind works, or looking for a new way to reflect and grow.

This program is especially helpful if you:

-Feel like you’re running on autopilot and want to understand why.
-Struggle with self-judgment and want a more compassionate perspective.
Are interested in psychology but don’t know where to start.
-Want to uncover the unconscious beliefs shaping your emotions and decisions.
-Prefer a guided, structured approach to self-reflection rather than just reading about it.

You don’t need any prior knowledge of psychology or experience in therapy: just an open mind and a willingness to explore your inner world at your own pace.

It depends. In Basis of the Mind, topics follow a balanced three-day cycle. Each cycle begins with a theory-driven day that introduces key concepts while also including practical exercises. The next two days focus on applying and exploring different aspects of that theory through hands-on exercises. Every session lasts around 10-30 minutes, but you have the flexibility to pause the audio and take as much time as you need to dive deeper into each exercise at your own pace.

In Basis of the Mind, you’ll engage in interactive audio-guided exercises designed to help you reflect, explore, and deepen your understanding of how your mind works. These exercises are directly extracted from therapeutic practice and are applied in various forms of therapy, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), humanistic or somatic approaches. They include:

Nervous system regulation: Through breathwork and other Mindfulness practices.
Visualization exercises: Engaging your imagination to explore emotions, memories, and perceptions.
Journaling exercises: Questions that help you explore your beliefs and the way you understand the world, yourself and others.
Art-infused exercises: To explore the mind through emotional and unconscious exploration.
Mind-body awareness practices: Getting to explore the physical sensations linked to emotions and thoughts to develop a closer connection to the body’s sensitivity.
Symbolic exploration: Understanding how the mind assigns meaning and how that shapes your experience.

Each session is designed to be immersive and not just passive listening. You’ll walk, touch, smell, hear, talk, write, dance, draw and breathe. You’ll actively engage to experience real shifts in self-awareness.

Each session is intentionally designed with your emotional well-being in mind. Every practice begins and ends with gentle breathwork and nervous system regulation to help you arrive and leave the space feeling more centered and supported.

But if at any moment you feel emotionally overwhelmed or distressed, we’ve created a special Emotional Care audio you can turn to whenever you need a pause. You’ll find it linked each day of practice and also in the Extra Resources section of the curriculum. It’s there to help you reconnect with yourself, soften the intensity of the moment, and guide you back into a more grounded, regulated state.

You can use it as much as you need.

We also invite you to take it easy and listen to yourself with care and compassion: if you ever feel uncomfortable feel free to adapt, adjust or completely stop the practice.

Once you enroll in the program, you’ll find in the Extra Resources section a “Leave your questions here” where you’ll be able to drop any questions that you may have during the program. Each week we’ll select some questions and answer them on the Basis of the Mind forum.

To get the most out of Basis of the Mind, you’ll need:

Headphones for an immersive audio experience.
A quiet, private space where you can focus without distractions.
Pen, paper and something to draw or paint with for journaling and drawing exercises.
An open, curious mindset to explore new aspects of yourself.

Each day, you’ll be informed of what to gather or prepare before listening to the audio.

Basis of the Mind is designed to be flexible and self-paced.

While the program is structured over 30 days, you can take it at a rhythm that works for you.

If you miss a day, simply pick up where you left off, there’s no rush.

We’ve designed the programs so you can purchase them in one or two parts. This way, the total cost is divided, giving you the flexibility to start with the first half and continue with the second when you’re ready. Each part is purchased separately, so there are no recurring charges or subscriptions involved.

Please note: choosing this option includes a very small increase in the total price compared to purchasing the full program at once.

For more information, please read our Terms.

Yes! You can revisit it anytime.

Basis of the Mind is not a replacement for therapy. While it offers deep self-reflection and psychological insights, it is not designed to address mental health conditions in the way therapy does. The program is designed to help you gain self-awareness and insight about the mind’s mechanisms, rather than providing the therapeutic support that a licensed face-to-face therapist offers.

If you’re experiencing mental health challenges, therapy may still be necessary. Basis of the Mind can be a valuable complement to therapy, helping you deepen your self-awareness and understanding of your thought patterns, but it is not a substitute for professional mental health care.
